Celebrate Life

Justin and I celebrate our birthdays together every year, since they are only 1 week apart. This past weekend, we celebrated with my family at our home. I loved every crazy minute of it!
Couldn't ask for a better husband. I really do love him more and more every year.

We played dress up...... (like father like son!)

 Ate cupcakes......

played and played and played some more.....
and finished the party off by throwing the kids in the bathtub. I tried to add a picture of that, but apparently naked babies in the bathtub are against blogger policy or something. Ha!

I am loving the knowledge and peace that comes with getting older. I don't feel old. I feel full of life and love and can not wait to see what the future holds for me and my family! I thank God daily for my blessings, but it's wonderful to have a day that is devoted to celebrating the life that you live. Between the Facebook messages, and the church family birthday wishes, and being surrounded by my loved ones (in person and skyping with my cousin in CO.) I could not have asked for a better day. We'll get to do it all over again next weekend, as we celebrate with Justins' family. We are so blessed!

Word of the week

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Silly Mira

So last night we were all sitting on the couch watching Mickey Mouse, and Mira was staring at the television. Justin was looking at her, and got real close to her face until she looked away. He said to her, "I'm sorry, was I too close?" She didn't miss a beat and said, "Ummm..........yes!" I almost peed my pants because she's never really said those words, and definitely has never used them correctly! It was so funny!

Then, while taking a bath, the space heater in the room kicked on and the fan is kinda loud. She turned and looked at it and with a very inquisitive tone, said, "Pap Pap?" Ha ha ha! It was hilarious!

After all the laughs she gave us, she went to bed around 8pm. and didn't wake up until 10am this morning!!! Being silly must be exhausting!
